(Pennsylvania) – ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27thRural Voices USA, the bipartisan coalition working to advance issues that support rural America, hosted a virtual town hall on important upcoming investments in rural broadband across Pennsylvania. The town hall included U.S. Senator Bob Casey, the Biden Administration’s broadband policy lead, rural and agricultural leaders from across Pennsylvania and a 2021 National Teacher of the Year. The town hall highlighted investments in rural broadband that will support farmers, educators, students, seniors, small business owners and rural residents.
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act passed by Congress in 2021 included $65 billion in national rural broadband investments, including $100 million for Pennsylvania broadband expansion alone. These investments will help get all of our communities connected and bridge the digital divide.
